So i have a very large aviary with a pair of princess parrots, lovebirds, and budgies. However they were never really trained and they are not hand tame. The lovebirds are very skittish and when try to come a little close to them they immediately fly away. My princess parrots are much more tame but they dont fully trust me. I can handfeed them millet but thats about it. My budgies are also pretty tame but only one eats millet out of my hand but they are also a little skittish. Can someone please help me and give me some tips on how to tame them in an aviary type situation?

This may take time. I would go in and sit quietly with the birds every day. Bring some goodies you know they will all enjoy. I think over time they will start to associate you with positive experiences and will get friendlier. Birds learn from experience. So each time they associate you with good things, they will get to trust you more. Some birds may never come around. Babies are so much easier to tame up than grown birds.

Good luck!
