Taming Chicks

My daughter figured out a great way to tame them. She puts them on her lap with a fleece blanket. She covers all but their head with the blanket and lightly puts hers hand on the blanket. They act like they are under their mother's wing and relax or drift off to sleep. She then gently pets them. We only have one or 2 who don't like this.

They also like their meal worm or cricket snack time.

Now that they are older she lets them perch on her arm and they seem to enjoy it.

How old are they? SO CUTE!
In the picture just over 3 weeks. They will be 4 this Wednesday. We are aiming for late this week to move them outside to stay! Yesterday they were out almost all day. The don't get that they can go in and out of the coop to the run. We had to move them from one to the other and they didn't like that. I think it's just being separated that they don't like because once they are all moved they are happy again. The coop is cooler than outside and they tended to go into the dog crate I used to bring them out.
