I have three new 6 week old Muscovy ducklings, 2 females and 1 male. They share a run with my 5 pullets and have their own duck house. However, right now they like sleeping with company inside the chicken coop

Anyways, my question is on the best ways to work with them and tame them? Right now, every time I enter the run, they bunch up and stay away from me. If I move toward them they're chirping and having a fit. They respond well to pieces of bread being thrown to them, but they have to fight with my pullets to snatch up the pieces.. and they can be some very bossy girls.

Should I try letting them out of the run and giving them some one on one time? Sit and toss them some snacks/treats? What have been your experiences with raising ducklings that you didn't hatch?

It seems that all ducks get skiddish around week 6. You should train them to follow you with a bowl of peas and a certain call. After they have learned that you can let them loose. BTW bread is not good for ducks.
