I come from Vietnam , to introduce some pic of the ornamental birds Vietnam ( Tân châu Bantam or Tan chau Bantam).

Chào. Welcome to the BYC forum. You have some very nice looking bantams. I was in Vietnam in 1969 as a US Army field medic, or bac si as I was called.

Do you have any gà đông chickens?

I assure you that I'm not the first American that has referred to them as "Ga Dong" and I probably won't be the last. I believe that you are correct, but you're the first Vietnamese who has corrected me and they always seemed to know exactly which chicken I was referring to! Maybe out of politeness? I'd rather be corrected than continue making a fool of myself. After 40 plus years, my Vietnamese isn't so great anymore. Ga = Chicken. I know that much,

Beautiful birds. I have a white rooster with a similar tail, he is one of my favorites and always gets noticed. Yours is much prettier. Thank you for posting these.

May I ask if your a member of onagadori.net ? Someone posted something similar about these little guys but different pictures,with a white rooster who had a bit of a beard
