Ok, thank you!1. YOU have to estimate how much water your birds drink in ONE day, then dose accordingly. Take in consideration your daily temps.
2. Only treat birds that show tapeworm segments in feces if possible. With that many birds, you might have to worm all of them.
3. I recommend using Permethrin liquid concentrate and spray areas where bugs are located, where your birds forage. Keep your birds penned after spraying your property. Add sand in your pens and inside coops. It will deter insects and keep everything dry.
4. You were looking for something easier to dose all your birds other than having to worm your birds one at a time with the Equimax.
5. Have you started worming your birds yet? If not, that's more
proglottids shed onto the soil and they will release hundreds of
eggs to infect your birds.
How often should I worm like this?
Every Fall and Spring, once per year, or just as I see worms present?
And to be clear, I should give only as much water as they take in per one day, correct?
So if they only consume, say 3 gallons in a day, I should give 3 gallons with 3 tsp powder in that day,
and do the same thing again the next day...
Then, repeat in 21 days?
I wormed the other coop that had worms with Zimecterin Gold, and Equimax.
Then I saw worms in the other coop, so I ordered that product from Jedds, and it's on its way. I scrape the poo boards every single day, and clean the ground 3-4 times a week, but basically daily right now because of the worms.
What do you think about also raking Dolomite Lime into the ground for the worms/worm eggs?
Thank you!
