My ladies have tape worms. I have seen it in a couple of the girls poops but am assuming all have to be treated. I am ready to treat with Safeguard. I remember seeing some posts about making mash over 5 days for no egg withdrawal. I know that there is a formula. I am so nervous about messing up the dosing. I have 5 cinnamon queens that weight about 3 to 4 pounds each. So let’s say about 18 pounds of chickens. Can you guys please help me with the correct dosing. I would so appreciate it🌺

Could you pist some pictures of the droppings withsuspected tapeworm segments? Safeguard will not treat tapeworms. You would need something that contains praziquantel, such as Equimax horse wormer. Dosage of that is 0.03 ml per pound or 0.16 ml for a 5 pound chicken given once and again in 10 days. Other products such as Zimectrin Gold or Droncit would treat it, but the dosage would be different.

Here is a picture and 2 hens have dirty butts but have normal poops as well

Safeguard isn't good enough for tapes.
Get the Equivalent and treat ALL birds.
Twice.
7 to 10 days apart.
