tapping but no peeping? How long till pip from tapping?

I have an egg on day 23 that is showing signs of hatching soon ( i think). Its hear tapping and if you put your hand over it you can feel it too. The thing is- I haven't heard any peeps from it yet. Is that normal? should i be worried? And how much time is normaly between when they start tapping and a pip? how about a peep to a pip?

Wish I had an answer. I have the same problem. Had 1 chick hatch on day 20. 5 more hatched yesterday. No more have pipped, so I candled today and found at least 2 are alive. One is tapping, but I don't hear any peeping, and so I am wondering if it is misaligned in the egg! I had one which was breech yesterday which I assisted in hatching. He/she is doing amazing today! Anyway, today is day 22 and I am worried about the chick tapping with no peeping. Any advice?
