Tarantulas?

So my Dad witnessed my two Rhode Island Reds eating a pretty good sized Texas Tarantula.

Is it okay for them to eat these spiders?
Will it affect their eggs?

Probably no more than the other small animals and insects that they eat.

I just have to say I am very sorry you live somewhere that you have spiders that big! I think I would die!! LOL
