We have a chicken coup that we covered with 1/2 inch hardware cloth up to 3 ft high and a 2 ft skirt, not buried, around the run and coop base. We attached all weather panels on the sides for protection. The top 3ft of the runs sides are not covered in hardware cloth. Are predators, like weasels and fishers. Able to climb up the panels to access the higher parts of the runs sides that aren't covered in hardware cloth? Thank you!

The top is covered by metal wire panels and a top weatherproof panel over that. The openings above the 3 ft hardware cloth is 2 x4 inch. Same with the top of the coop. We are in hudson Valley ny by minnewaska state park. Ty for the welcome!

Weasels can get in your coop by entering deep rat tunnels underground searching for baby rats to eat. Weasel boxes kill rats and weasels both.
