Taylor’s Flock 🐣

To kick off this thread:

Two of my 3 week old dark brahmas I picked up 3 weeks ago died. Unknown cause.

DB and WB are the victims

DB had intestines hanging out of his butt.

Another thing:

A little splash laced red wyandotte pullet I picked up last week is missing.

She was in with the dark brahmas, blue silkies and splash Cochins. Somehow she must have escaped.

I put 5 Ayam Cemani eggs on lockdown. Today is Day 18 for them. Last time I checked two were pipped and two were internally pipped. Hopefully I’ll have some baby chicks soon, since I just lost my Ayam Cemani Rooster.

One of my 2 month blue laced red wyandotte cockerels was found dead. I saw his spine stuck out of the cage and his head was no where to be found. I think he stuck his head out and something bit his head off. His hatch mates were canniblizing him.
Makes me sick just thinking about it.

This morning I woke up and found 3/4 ayam cemani chicks hatched perfectly. The one left in the egg was an assist hatch. It has stickiness all over him. I researched this and it’s due to high humidity. I’ve only had it at 35% the whole hatch and raised it to 45% the last bit.

Anyways I had to wash the goo off and I get enough off that he can move around, I’ll have to wash him when I get home from work. He’s in the incubator to stay warm right now.

Replaced all bands on the August Flocks feet. They are getting big! Also replace all bands on the peachicks.
