Tb or Not

I just got a positive TB test. I am giong to the Doctor for xrays tomorrow. I hope to get a CNA job soon. I have chickens, could they be carriers of TB? Could I have contracted this from them? I am 51 years old had breast cancer twice could it have been from an earlier exposure in life. Strange that I am not dead yet. It is cheaper to buy eggs from the store than to feed the chickens. But I love my chickens.

I highly doubt you got TB from your chickens. You are a CNA and more than likely you contracted it from a previous job. I am in the medical field also. TB in Nursing homes & Hospitals is non stop. I know when I was working in the nursing homes, about 25% of our patients had TB. So my vote is that you contracted it in your line of work. Just my thoughts.
