Tea Time.... Relax with us and have a cup of hot tea!

Got all my bulbs in before the cold front, phew! Seems like Halloween's going to be a warmer one this year.

How's everyone?

I'm in north Florida. I don't think we do violets outside here. lol
My MIL grew tomatoes until late year before last. It's funny how different the weather is even though we're so close.

Mine were not outside, they were inside the greenhouse. I was splitting the pups. If only I had waited a couple days.

However, I have enjoyed the constant comment tea that I have been having to warm me up.
So the cold has not all been bad.

The weather here was abnormally warm these last couple of days. In the 60s! Now, it's getting colder again. I'm drinking a lot of mint tea I had harvested from my mint forest in the garden, but today I drank Irish Breakfast.
Yesterday a cat got into my mini orchard. No respect for the fence

. But my chickens "free range" there, so they gave this cat a run for its money

. I don't think it'll be back.

Oh. I don't know much about violets. My g-mother had an African violet and she kept it inside her house, nice and toasty warm.

Yeah, I just finished a cup of chocolate chai. I'm not a huge fan, but it's pretty good, good enough to finish the box, not necessarily good enough to buy another box though. I just add more cocoa to it and some cream.
It warmed me right up while I was sitting on a metal folding chair doing my school work.

We've had the same thing (but autumn roller coaster is normal here). Irish Breakfast is my favorite tea!!! I'm going to have some tonight with some sugar and milk and a couple of pieces of Walker Shortbread.

You need to learn how to write in cat and post a sign that shows the mini orchard is guarded by attack chickens.

Have you tried Irish Breakfast with lemon? I love it.

I should definitely make a multilingual post for all animals! My chickens are so sweet with humans, but are fierce with other animals. It's really fun to watch them patrol the perimeter of the fence. Unfortunately, one was taken by a predator in late August.
I don't know what's with this cat. It is a beautiful long haired gray w a white collar and face. It's clear it's owned by someone, but no collar. It won't let me near it though.
I was afraid it would harm my chickens. But now I think it's going to stick to a mouse diet

Yeah. I like it alright. My DD made my tea for me last night and she ended up putting lemon in it instead of milk. It was good.

My chickens don't protect anything. The ones I have now are good at hiding from predators; I have lost a few to predators. Most of my losses this year have been chicks to coccidiosis.

...mouse diet. Yeah, IDK why some ppl let their pets go farrel like that.

So, I get home from the nursery, sit down start reading emails, click over to BYC, get to you post and remember: I left the chickens out!
My husband will swing by and put then up.
You just saved them.
