Oh, I'm so glad!!!
It's been a long while! How are things going?

I candled my eggs. It's day 5. I saw 2 chicks and there were blood vessels in pretty much all of them. I'm still hopeful for 8 chicks on Dec 11th.

I currently don't have any eggs to set because my birds aren't laying, but maybe for the hatch-a-long?? I'm not sure yet.

How's it going?

Mine have slowed way down, 3-ish a week each.
Well, LMK whether you do the hatch-a-long; if you do, then I'll see about doing it. =)

Pretty well. We've had a busy week here; holiday, family, visits... Also, I had a failed hatch and then another one where I only got one chick, so I've got another set of eggs in the 'bator. And I'm getting rid of my EE rooster, so I've got some eggs under a hen (if she'll stay setting!!!) and hopefully I'll get some blue/green layers out of those. We'll see.

How about you?

I have eggs in the incubator that have been in there for 13 days, but they look like the day 11 pics on this link: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...g-candling-pics-progression-though-incubation

I have eggs that have been in the brooder with a hen for a week tomorrow.
My plan is to give her until tomorrow to get into a good deep brood.
I felt the eggs late this morning, and they were cool.
I'll candle the eggs next time (today or tomorrow) that I see her off of the nest.
