I just moved my hens outside into their new tractor. The tractor has a coop on top and a pen area below. They figured out how to walk down the ladder from the coop to the pen but don't seem to understand how to go back up. Any one have any suggestions for how to train them to go up at night into their coop?

They know how to get up there and will go when they are ready too.

It took me 2 nights of actually holding them and walking them up the plank and after that they have all gone to bed with no problem. I did this with my Barnies and Silkies. The other pens they can hop up into the coop so no need for a ladder.
They are probably smart enough to figure it out by themselves but I didn't have the time to wait around and find out. the Silkies really didn't get it so I knew I had to train their little brains.[IMG]

My seramas naturally fly to the top of a similiar tractor.
