I agree, pictures of feeder, waterer, chicks...brooder, etc.

My chicks usually start eating and drinking right away, but it's not uncommon for them to not eat or drink for up to 24 hours after hatching. They are still "eating" their yolk at that stage.

Instead of using your finger, you might try something like a toothpick that lets them feel more like something their size is pecking at the food and water.

They finally learned to eat, after much coaxing, however the chick that kept falling over has not improved

Sometimes you get a chick that fails to thrive. That one will probably not make it., I'm sorry to say. If you have any Save-a-chick or Nutri-drench, you might try that and see if it improves.
