He was a helped hatch and to be honest, I didn't think he'd survive but he did. He is a real sweetie and I don't think he will actually do all the rooster things (because of his sweet nature). When he hatched, the upper part of his beak was longer and that caused him to eat sideways (tilting his head and rubbing his beak). And he started developing crossbeak. But a quick beak trim helped😅. His bestie Peanut respects him (because he is a few days older) ♥️

How sweet, thank you for sharing! 😍We have had a helped hatch as well, he had to be helped out of the shell and then when he got a little bit older he survived a hawk attack, his name is Faith.

we’ve had at least three chickens with Crossbeak, did trimming it fix the beak? Or would that only work if they were a day old.
