One of my 2yr old hens have displayed pale comb and wattles for a couple weeks now. She is eating and drinking and pecking and scratching as normal but she feels very thin and her crop feels essentially empty at roosting time. Today I found one fecal dropping under the roost that had teeny tiny white worms in it. The worms were bunched together and were moving. I checked several other droppings and did not find them in any other. Do I go ahead and treat for worms? ( I have never treated my flock for worms before.) What product would I use? Should I treat the whole flock? These questions and any other advice would be appreciated. I am in SW Florida. It’s been super hot. TYIA

can you get a picture of the worms? Most worms will die if they are too hot. Pale comb is also a sure sign of worms, so it probably wouldn't hurt to treat your flock.

I got a pic. These were collected from the bottom of the tray that I keep under the roost. They look like maggots to me now.

So now you need to find out where they are on your chicken. Check around her vent area real good. Look under her wings for any wounds, and between her legs. Part her feathers everywhere. Use your nose, too, is there an odor about her anywhere?
