My family is in the beginning stages of interest and starting our research. It looks like our city has a very vague reference to raising backyard chickens. Anyone out there from Tehachapi?

Just curious if you found out the city ordinance info on owning backyard chickens? I currently have 9 hens and my family is looking to move down to Tehachapi, CA within the next year but I need to know if my chickens will be aloud.

I called the city to ask and the person on the phone said no. However I have looked in the city ordinances and I didn’t see anything about chickens.
