Tell All--ISA Browns

Does anyone have ISA browns and what can you tell me about them?

I have them they are awsome layers not much meat they lay huge eggs.

I had lots of IsaBrowns over the years, they are nice birds, a bit too dominant for my taste though. They think they are bigger then any of my other birds, wether its the geese, scovies or the turkeys, if it comes to close they get challenged to a fight by the Isa.

Also all my egg eaters I ever had were Isabrowns, never any of my other breeds, always the Isas.

I started with 3 ISA Browns. I loved them, they were GREAT, but only 1 is left now due to internal laying issues and she's doin' it too, just hasn't died yet

(She doesn't seem unhappy, but clearly has it goin' on). Personality-wise and laying-wise, I would very highly recommend them. I doubt my experiences with their lifespan are especially typical, tho I'll be darned if I can see anything I'm doing wrong (they don't get supplemental winter light, not fat, very healthy otherwise, etc etc etc)

I hav'nt lost a ISA to egg binding yet, but it is a constant problem. I consider myself and my friend, Chickflick, to be lucky that these hens have made it to 1.5 years. They lay jumbo eggs but they are not that big of a bird.
Otherwise, excellant laying hens and friendly.
