Tell Me About Pressure Cookers

I should know about them but I don't. How do they work? I don't can.....although I should......but I think I want one for cooking.

Can anyone teach me?

I know several people that use theirs frequently. I plan on buying one soon. I've borrowed my mother's to cook grains. It took minutes!

I have used one for cooking.. works very well. just follow the booklet that comes with it..

the biggest thing I can tell you to NOT do is open it until ALL the pressure is gone..

and use moderate heat..

I use mine for canning and some cooking. It does a great job on pot roasts and other meats that take long, moist cooking, just take out the long. You can have a delicious, tender, juicy pot roast or pork & sauerkraut, or whatever in under an hour.

Just put one on my wish list on Amazon. It seems so much healthier.........and quicker.

I make lunches twice a week for war vets here and I always used my crock pot or just a dutch oven on the stove....but a pressure cooker seems like a better idea.

A pressure cooker is a healthy way to cook it captures all the vitamins..and a time saver.
follow the direction and DONT open untill
pressure is out.. I use mine for cooking..

My mom has her mother's pressure cooker. She uses it all the time and loves it. She replaces the seal every couple years.

This is a link to the cooker i got. Saved my live a few times. I took it with me when we were moving . I can cook with it in ever hotel room even when they dont have a microwave . When we were moved in but the movers hadnt delivered the furniture yet i cooked in it too. Electric pressure cookers are awesome .
