My favorite and noisiest one was drowned by my geese last August Now the second one is my favorite, she (they were/are both females) has been doing the head bobbing mating dance to me ever since August. I just found out that my three girls are laying eggs this past week! I found a nest today, of six eggs and its been -10 farenheit so all the eggs were frozen, burst thru the shell. I'll have to keep an eye on the two drakes now, they started showing small signs of trying to pair off a month ago but one is more dominant than the other and I don't want any feuding nor any more losses. They are messy but so endearing No pic since the snow fell but here is the last pic I took... she's up front

OOPS! I am always getting things backwards, the headbobber girly is the last one, her crested sister is just beginning to head bob me lately

Dipsy.... so ducks are like more like chickens than geese when it comes to mating? I can have multiple girls with one drake... they keep small harems as opposed to pairs???? Most of the ones I see at the park are paired off, but maybe it's different in captivity?
