10 weeks ago a little package arrived in the mail with my 3 sweet pullets. It also came with a surprise chick, Opal. Since it was hard to tell at them time we emailed the hatchery to ask what breed she was, and her gender. They couldn’t tell us the breed (she is an Easter egger as we found out) but they promised a female 
. However as she has grown I’ve noticed her tail feathers curving downward like a cockerels would, and even though this happend with my sweet girl Henrietta, I might think different on Opal. She doesn’t, however, show any male characteristics, my last rooster started trying to crow at 8 weeks and she is well past that with nothing but sweet peeps and voice cracks. She’s holding her tail down in the photo, she usually holds it higher, but it’s raining and they’re all soaked despite the rain cover. (Sorry for the crappy pictures she’s running from me bc I tried to pic her up)
