So I've been posting for a couple of weeks now and you guys are great! The picture you see is Scooby, and the black on his comb was there when we got him. I just thought I would take a pic and see what you guys thought. The guy we got him from assumed it was black from Frost bite. Just wanted to get a second opinion.

From the picture it looks like frostbite. Especially if you're in a place that has had a rough winter....

Yep, frostbite. I have one like that and he is improving. Yours might lose a point or two. You may know within a month.

I've read before to put vaseline on the frost bitten parts to help with prevention and healing. Once black though, I think the damage is done. Luckily, they don't seem to be permanetly harmed by this on their combs if treated and cared for.
