Wow, you got it already. I just mailed it Tuesday afternoon. USPS said it would be delivered on the 14th, Parcel post.
Was planning on a "What's on the way to Gritty's house?" thread tomorrow, and get lots of people involved. Oh Well, lol!
Glad you got it today, hope it was a cheerful end to the day.
There was 1 other BYCer that was in the know, but I'm not fessin' to who.
I saw the cow at a local dept store. I really liked it (love the expression on it's face) and immediately thought of you. But you were upset with the cows so I debated for a few days. When it didn't sell I figured it was a sign.
Making the door was an adventure. That was the 3rd door. First I started off with painting a small picture frame blue. Looked like a picture frame painted blue. So into the garbage it went.
Decided to try using the sculpty clay stuff, never have before. Was fun to use, but I expected it to bake up hard, not rubbery. So the first one was too thin and floppy; and the hot glue would not stick to it(that's why the screen is wired on), so I revised the plan and you got the result.
This just topped a day with some wonderful warm feelings. Gritty, that's a wonderful gift. Hope your hospital visit didn't involve stitches, 'cause that would just be REALLY painful right about now, what with all the laughing you had to have enjoyed.
That is just a way cool gift from a very thoughtful (and mischievous, apparently LOL!) friend! I read the story, and really think you should start writing a book!
