So we've got 9 birds total. 5 RI Reds, 2 Gold Stars, a Silver Laced Cochin and an Australorp (sorry, I don't know all of the abbreviations). All are about 5 weeks old.
Everyday my wife goes out to the coop to play with the chicks and feed, and clean. And everyday she changes which ones she thinks is a rooster. Are there any signs we can look for? Behaviors that are typical?
This is our first run at raising chickens. So far it's been a blast and the coop is just about done. I think we have some time before they start laying but for now they are happy and appear to be healthy. They all love getting treats and will allow you to handle them.

They really love the new accommodations. The box was getting cramped.
