I ordered three different breeds of chicks from a hatchery, and when I get them I want to be able to tell the breeds apart. I can figure it out once but I don't want to do it constantly (I will be selling some of them) would tying a thin piece of ribbon around their leg work ? Or do I need to buy leg bands or whatever they're called?

I got some Rhode Island Reds, Buff Oprhingtons, White Rocks, and now that I think about it I'll probably get some packing peanuts.
