Telling Narragansett poults from Bronze

What are ways to tell a female from a male?

For Narragansett? Look at my photo. See the legs on the poult to the left? The tendons on the back of his legs are much bigger, his hocks are bigger, his feet are bigger. The female poult on the right, the same age, is more delicate looking. Her head is less blocky looking, her legs are daintier, her feet are smaller, and her snood bump is just a little pimple. His is more prominent.

Plus the males tend to be even more exploration-curious than the females, and they often do a "baby strut" where they drop their wingtips straight down, fan their non-existent tail, pull back their neck, and strut around. This can start in the first couple of days after hatch, but not all male poults will do this. Females are often more food-curious and will taste unfamiliar things.

The two in the photo are full brother and sister, and they are now gorgeous adults in separate breeding pens.
