I don't think so, hear any chirping yet. I just candled last night before I set them in lock down. The green and blue eggs looked very full except for the air cell. The tan and white ones..I could see movement. I didn't turn down the incubator temp. I had it in the foam the incubator came in. I took that off last so I could see inside. I'll keep it insulated at night from now on.
Forced air..I can hear the fan too. I dont know why it stays warmer and dryer on one side by several degrees.
Those are what you call "hot spots" and vice versa for "cold spots"
Yes but why if there's a fan circulating the air all the time? I would think it would take care of that. Two of my eggs have pipped so far. But I haven't heard a chirp yet.
It may be because the incubator is not a good incubator. I have a forced air incubator that has many cold spots. I don't use it.
