Temp down to 94 on day 18?

It may be because the incubator is not a good incubator. I have a forced air incubator that has many cold spots. I don't use it.

Are you sure you haven't heard any chirps? Is your incubator loud enough to block out the cheeping?
Maybe..right, its not a very good one. It did hatch 5 out of 12 last time.

Well, I have an eBay incubator (real cheap and inaccurate in its readings), and I just finished up a hatch. I used my own thermometers and hygrometers. 4 out of 12 had blood rings (which can be cause by cold and hot spots, FYI) and out of the remaining 8, seven hatched, and the last one died after internally pipping.

Better than mine did last time. I'll just have to wait and see this time.

Yay!!! Six have hatched 3 are left. How long can I leave the hatched ones in? One hatched at 9pm last night. Four more hatched while I was sleeping and one more today.

congrats on the hatch. Seems to be a pretty good result so I checked out some reviews and apart from them possibly stopping to work this incubator seems to have fairly good reviews based on results.

I have observed myself that adding more humidity, especially in small incubators can have an evaporative cooling effect and lower the temperature slightly but not as much as 5 degrees. Anyway glad you got 6 to hatch and hope the last 3 make it too

I put 11 in there two died early around day 7 I candled and two didnt make it to lock down. I had to add water during lock down and remove some dry chicks. We got 8 hatched within two days time. One is waiting in the incubator...I expect it died. It has a pip, but I think the hatched chicks did it.

That's not a bad hatch. My broody snuck off and had 21 eggs. She pushed out 10 a week or so after I found her nest, then hatched 7 and left the rest. A lot depends on where you get your eggs.
