One has a tiny little hole in the side and they are rocking, I've only not seen one move at all. This is day 16, do they hatch on 17? I think they are Coturnex, they are creamy whitish gray with large dark splotches.

Yes, they hatch at day 17.

Bobwhites take 23 days.

I think buttons usually take 16.

Had 3 good pips last night, woke up to tiny cute babies! Took a shower had another baby in an egg that showed no signs of pipping. Came into the office and less than five minutes later another baby! The eggs showed no pips, no rocking but the babies zipped and popped in record time. That is 4 out of 8 so far. I am getting ready to go out of town for 2 days to science training in Albuquerque so when I get back I'll post pics of them.
