I moved 9 eggs to the egg carton last night....candled and that was all I had out of 20...(I had refrigerator eggs in also). Temp was 101 and humidity was 55 when I went to bed.

This morning, temp was 95..YIKES!

I have it back to 101 now. Hope they survive the Artic chill they had!

I have no experience at all in hatching (on my first batch! Yay!) but have read a multitude of posts since being on the site where people had isolated temp spikes and drops and the eggs were fine. Esp in the last few days they seem to be more hardy this way.
Hope they are ok!

It will be fine I was on day 20 last night two had already pipped. went to bed got up six hours later and thermostat had gone out and temp had dropped to 78 and humidity up to 92. Changed thermostat and got temp back up and humidity back down and 5 hours later they started hatching like crazy. Have 14 egg in and so far 5 have hatched 7 pipped. So you will probally be just fine you didnt drop that far.

Our broody abandoned her eggs on a night below 20. I was sure they had all frozen to death. I opened the top of one, and the chick was moving a bit. So, I placed them in the incubator. I had one hatch one each of the next 4 days.
