Temp Question - still air incubator (little giant 9200)

I have a little giant still air incubator. It's been holding 99.5 as directed. I have read that it should be higher for the still air model is this correct and how will it affect my hatch. Just started lockdown 14 eggs all which were candled. Also now that I removed the turner what temp should it be. I have 2 thermometers both with different temp readings. The digital one reads 99.5 and is located on the metal mesh even with the bottom of the egg. The glass one reads 101 at the top of the egg. Questions is where should I pull the temp reading bottom, middle or top and what is the proper temp. My humility is currently 70%.

Yes, still air should be 101-102F with the temps taken at the top of the eggs. So, it sounds like yours are good. The temps don't have to be changed at hatch time, though some people do prefer to drop theirs a degree. I personally never adjust, but for 2 years I've used an LG 9200 and you don't try adjusting them any more than you have to...lol
If temps have been a tad lower over the course of the incubation, you can generally see a slight delay in hatchtimes. If it's extremely lower you see higher probabilities of developmental issues, mortality and late hatches. Temps slightly high can cause early hatchers, significantly high, developmental issues but more likely death.
Your humidity looks good. If all your instruments are accurate, I'd say you are on the right path. Good luck!

Ok so my little giant still air was set a 99.5 and should have been 101-102. I raised the temp to 101 on day 20 when I learned what the correct temp should be. Now at day 24 I did see some eggs moving and could hear a faint peep. No pipping no cracks. How much longer should I wait? Could it be delayed due to lower temp on first 20 days? What should I do now? still in lockdown.

Yes the lower temperatures will delay. With the forced air I couldn't keep the temp stable at the higher level so I had to go slightly lower (or risk death by heat). First couple hatched day 22, the other two day 23.

If you've got faint peeping, you've got an internal pip. Peep means air in lungs means the chick is breathing. Hopefully an external pip will appear for you soon. There are threads about helping if things don't progress- really good sally sunshine (pretty sure) that's a huge help. Read it once and then go through it again so you're prepared if it comes to that.

Note what time you've got the internal then (hopefully) external pips on each egg so you know how long it's been, because helping too soon can be deadly.

Two of my day 23's were stuck. It tried and for 33 hrs didn't manage to zip. I helped it being very, very terribly careful-- see the thread-- but it had struggled and struggled and wasn't getting out.

The other egg had externally pipped and same thing- egg was rocking, and for 20+hrs and that poor little thing couldn't make progress for anything- ended up being shrink wrapped despite wet paper towels, glasses with sponges, full channels- Helped that one too.

They both made it, but were lethargic because they were *exhausted* as all get out. They're both alive and fine. The issues seem to have been the cause of incubator problems, and I'm glad I helped.

Good luck! I hope you get some fuzzybutts!
