Temp question whats going on?

I have had my incubator running for 3 days temp has stayed between 100-101 I added eggs today around 2pm and I knew the temp would drop and take some time for it to get back to normal we are now 8 hours into it and its staying between 98-99. I don't wanna mess with turning it up cause I know it was set right. Will it settle back to where it should be?

I wouldn't mess with it. My incubator runs on the cool side sometimes and believe it or not my hatches are usually better.

It should be at 99.5 durring the first 18 days... who told you to set it so high?

they'll be okay just watch the temp.

Ya I'd leave it alone because the mother hen would have no control over the weather and so the temp wouldn't be COMPLETY steady. I've had 'GET IT STABLE AND DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH IT AFETR THAT" drilled in my head

My dad is a retired quail breeder
