Hi I built a incubator out of a wine fridge I have the incukit and the humidikit and an extra fan
Both fan and the heater blower unit are on top I have air vent holes in the back and it holds very consistent temps from top to bottom 99.5
And humidity 40% but i have had 3 temp spikes of 103.7 3 and 2 days apart the house temp is in the 70s and the "flame" icon is not on so the heater should not be on on the incukit,
I'm wondering why I'm getting a few hours of temperature spikes and if I should add another air vent

Not really sure how your system works exactly, but have a question. If the Flame Icon, is off, meaning no heat is being introduced, are the fans running, or off at that point. If the fans are lets say off. then stored warmth would possibly rise and there is where the temperature sensors may be picking up those readings. :idunno
I don't think those spikes were enough to damage the egg development. I know that peeps the incubate eggs under chickens in very hot climates, do encounter temps like well over 100°F ambient.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and:welcome

The fans both do stay running when the heat goes off so I'm not sure, I didnt start having spikes untill I added the extra fan so I was wondering if it's making extra heat
