I am getting my new still air bator stable. I know the temp should be about 101 at the top of the eggs so i put a closed egg carton in and set a thermometer on top of it. It is stable at 100.9 close enough lol.
I have another thermometer in the bottom (on the metal screen) it is only 95ish. Is this normal? humidity stable at about 40 to 45% am I ok to set eggs?

Yea its normal with still air, humidity i think will be OK, preferably about 25-30% the first 17-18 days & then up to about 65-70%.

Yep thermal layering is normal.

Cool diagram there Rebel. And yeah, even in my fan assisted bator there's about 2 degrees of difference from the bottom of the eggs to the bator's ceiling...
