I'm new at this so I'll try to attach some images. I set up a home made incubator yesterday, fussed around with temperature and humidity all day and decided this morning it was time to introduce some fertile eggs into the mix. I've been fussing over temperature all day and the problem I'm having is that the eggs on the right side are a few degrees higher, the ones on the left a few degrees lower, and the ones in the center are staying at 99-100 degrees. Is there anything I can introduce into the 'incubator' which will lower the temperature of the hot eggs? And possibly something I can introduce to raise the temperature of the cool eggs? I could remove the outer eggs and thereby remove the problem, as the middle eggs are staying at 99-100...but I would rather try to find a different solution. I have been moving the lamp around trying to get a better balance but it just creates different 'hot spots'. I've tried moving to a lower wattage bulb but it brings the temperature too low. Any ideas?

My heat source is on the left, the hottest spot is the right corner where the light is aimed. The top is a grate, covered with an old glass window which happened to fit perfectly on top of my makeshift 'incubator'. (which I also plan to use as a brooder (without the glass top and all the fixings I add to keep the humidity up, another thread, another day).
