Hi good friends!
Today first 24 hours of incubation in my Hova Bator 1602n, with fan and automatic turner.
I have a little question about the temperature probably you can help me :D, it is my first time trying to incubate. Now it has reeves pheasant eggs and plan to add golden pheasant some other eggs tomorrow.
I have two thermometers, one is the main one comes with the incubation (mercury one), other is my digital one, i used for my fishtank.
During day, temperature goes on 99-100°, and both thermometers are not exact but really close to this (ambient temperature during day is about 22-26°c) But this morning i have seen some interesting. Here, during morning (3-6 am), temperature in ambient falls to 18-15°C. The digital thermometer keeps really similar numbers (99°-100°, dropping and heating faster of course) but the mercury one goes on rank 98°-99° (drop 1°f approx).
Is this something i have to worry about in the night or is acceptable?
For me is almost impossible to control temperatures here in my areas. the place i have the incubator now is the more stable. during day, my house goes to 30° c and more.
Best, Roy.
