We’ve been experiencing some weird winter weather here in central Kentucky. It got up to 67 F on Christmas day, will stay in the 60s all this week. On Sunday it’s forecast to plummet down into the 30s, with a low of 18 F that night. We keep chickens and ducks. I’m not usually worried about them in the cold, but surely that drastic of a temp drop can’t be good for them?

Won't even phase them. I am in western SD, and we have widely fluctuating temperatures for most of the winter. It really is not uncommon to have both 65 degrees, as earlier this week to -10 degrees as in this morning. My birds do not even seem to notice it.
