We have 2 1/2 week old Buff's, Silver Laced Wyandottes, and Rhode Island Reds. My son wants to show a couple at the fairs this summer so we were given a tip to feed them turkey starter so they grow faster and get their feathers in faster so they will be ready by fair time. The temperature in their brooder is currently between 80-85. My question is since they are growing faster should we maybe have the temperature a little lower because they don't seem quite as active as they have been, although they are laying around in all different spots in the brooder not necessarily away from the heat lamps.
