Hello everyone I need some help, yesterday Friday June 12th I bought 18 pullets they are three days old. I have them in a xtra large dog kennel whey planneling on the sides (for no one to escape), bedding, starter food, and water. They are in my breezeway attached from my house to my garage. We don't have AC in there but we have 2 large fans and screened doors so there is a constant soft breeze. I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland right now its 85 degrees the real fel is 95 degrees with 66% humidity there is plently of ventalation in this kennel its a metal one and I have a box fan on low on top of them for a breeze. There not huddled together like they're cold. They are very active and eating well drinking well. None of them act tired or week...they are the healthiest chicks I've ever raised. (shoutout to Cackle Hatchery in MO!!!) My question is, do I need a heat lamp? During the day or at night? Its in the mid 80s at night here. I have a thermometer inside the kennel it reads 87 degrees is that okay?? Please help!!! Thank you!
