Temperature requirements when gathering eggs.

I used the walmart Acu-right also. You can calibrate this:

Get a coffee cup and put 1/2 cup of table salt in it
Add to the salt in the cup 1/4 cup of water
Put the cup and hygrometer into a plastic bag, a big one. Not a sandwich bag. Seal tightly.
Wait approximately 8-12 hours

The humidity measurement should read 75

If it doesn't adjust appropriately. Mine was 3 degrees off

I think I'm finally ready to incubate. Here's what my plan is now: until day 18 no water in the incubator unless it gets way low on humidity, day 18 put in water and try to get humidity to 60% (also take out egg turner). I hope it works! Thanks everybody for the advice!!! Here is the rooster I'm using:

You have a beautiful flock! I too have Rhode Island Reds and Cinnamon Queens in my flock, along with a Buff Orpington Rooster. I also have several young pullets who should start laying about August or September including Speckled Sussex, Golden Comets, and Buff Orpingtons. May I ask the breed of the rooster you have pictured? I probably should know this but it won't come to me at the moment.

Well, most likely the reason you can't think of his breed is that he's a Silver Laced Wyandotte, but about the farthest thing from the standard you can get! His tail is bad and his lacing is off, but I still like him! I think you'll love your Buff Orpington hens! I have one and it is really nice looking and a good winter layers! Thanks for the post!
