Day 25, lock down time and I had a temperature spike in the incubator.
At 3;30pm I checked it and it was fine.
And then at 9:00 pm I noticed the temperature spiked.
I think it spiked because the weather out side is getting warmer which effected the inside temperature also.
So I changed a few things to adjust the temperature back down and got it under control.

So my question is how long can eggs handle a temperature spike for?

I seem to be getting some hatching.
Two and there are seven more with holes.
the temperature gun said it was 41C
I think it runs high because the wall thermostat said 39C
Normally the gun read at 40C and the wall one at 37C.

I was told today that it is better to have the temp go high as compared to go low.
But the incubator is running a little high already because the birds are starting to hatch on the 26 day.
I seem to have a better hatch running high as to low.

I had to help four out of their shell.
They broke through but that was it.
Waited over night and this morning went in.
I think the spike drained energy from them.
At least I didn't lose them all.

Final count.
8 alive.
10 did hatch but 2 managed to peck the starter hole before they died.
And the 8 were very exhausted.
