I have a styrofoam bator and I was aiming at 101*. I cant get between 100 and 103. So now im trying to stay at 100. Is that too low? Humidity is reading between 50-55%. I just put them in last night. Thanks for any help!

Do you have a still air or forced air?

For still air, the temps needs to be around 101.5 and or forced air, the temps should be 99.5.. A 1/2 degree either way won't hurt anything but if it's too low, the chicks will take longer to hatch and can have malformations and if too high, they will hatch sooner and not be developed correctly...

99.5 - 100 i sthe perfect temperature for chickens

over 102 is to high
98 is to low if you keep it for days

I like to keep humidity at 40 - 50 % I stay in the 40% as posible

when you get to lockdown increase humidity at 60-65%

My incubator is a genesis 1588

That is for a forced air (with fan) only... A still air needs to be 101.5 at the top of the egg...
