Tempoary run help

That's fantastic :)
Yes this will be a temproary-maybe a week to a month long solution to give us time to build the 40 foot run. Thx for the insight :)

Just for info----My chicken pens are beside a beavermade lake/creek that runs across my property going to the river a few miles down. I have seen "things" in the water--like, beavers, otters, alligator, coons, etc, etc---Plus no homes close to this area---my pens are not like in the city---Just saying. I am standing with one row of chicken pens right behind me a few feet. My Chickens free-range to this and drink water from the lake.

Yep definitely a different area. ;) we are in a neighborhood, but we live close to a man made drainage stream that is surrounded by woods. We definitely have hawks and owls close, the big pine in the back has housed possums in the past, and we have friendly garden snakes that visit.
So although we are city folk, we have a wild streak too ;)
My friend who lives less than 6 miles away in another neighborhood just had a hawk move in, and pick off her runt pullet. I had been asking her advice on run design and now she is securing hers more lol.

Oh I have hawks and owls big time----the deer netting keeps them out the pen area. The biggest thing that helped with all of this is my GP dog----she hates a hawk/big bird and will chase it barking as far as she can go----so with her around I have been able to free-range for the last several months every day. Let me back up, free-range inside a 1 1/2 acre fenced in area----that might be Limited Free ranging??
