Temporary chick run!

i like to utilise what I have laying around! So this time I've used a table and chicken wire! Just to keep the big nasty birds off my chicks! Haha. Don't think I'd win any prizes for the best looking!!

Excellent. This way the integration is already started. Looks like that is the Mother Hen inside. You are aware that hens are very protective of their chicks. Always good to take a safe stance regardless.

Yes that's mother hen inside 'Doris', she's actually pretty placid with me, but then I got her at 3 weeks old and cared for her while she grew so I guess she's used to me. but certainly protects her babies from the other hens!!
