Hi All,

I just moved my 4 week old chicks into their coop where they'll drink from a traditional hanging waterer for the next few days. The issue is that they've been drinking from nothing but a poultry nipple for their entire lives to this point. In a few days when I let them into the run they'll be back on the nipple, but in the meantime will they figure out the drinker on their own? I did dip one chicks beak in the water and watched her drink. Do you think curiosity will eventually get them all to check out the water? My fear is if they're not drinking enough because they can't find the water on a warm day they'll dehydrate.

Any advice is appreciated!

If one knows, soon they will all know. Mine move from nipple, to bell to water bowl and never have a problem.

Cool thanks. Figured as much but jeez I'd hate to screw it up at this point!

Thanks again!
