Tennessean hoping to learn some new things!

I'm hoping I can learn how to deal with predators and disease much better, we've been very lucky with our chickens so I'm hoping when the time does come for treatments or getting rid of predators I can get at it with a little more know-how. I'm fully at home with my child at the moment, so more work is kinda what I need :D
LOL, got any specific sicknesses? Or animals? For your too much free time predicament, try putting in an herb garden, and once the plants are big enough open it up for your chickens to hang in. Look into making sprouts; they'd love that. Or, if you use shavings start a compost pile for them to enjoy. The possibilities are endless!

We've just got chickens at the moment, though we do plan to expand to quail at least. I'm definitely ready for an herb garden, I'm just waiting for that last frost date (any plant I bring inside gets eaten or sat on by kitties).
