Hello my name is Kiara i live in Tennessee Born and raised in Abingdon Va .100% Country girl and Born again Christian. My flock are my babies they are Blue Orpington my mom and dad raised the Buff Orpingtons but just something about the blues that i really enjoy, they are excellent mothers and the Roosters are absolutely awesome they take very good care of their hens, i stick with around 10-12 hens and 1 Rooster and he does his job well.i highly recommend this breed if you want a great flock The Rooster i had just mysteriously disappeared so now i'm on the search for another so far no luckThank you for read and may God Bless you..Have a great day
Hi, Kiara, welcome to TN! Looks like you actually have Lavender (Self Blue) Orpingtons, not Blue... that will make a huge difference in finding a new replacement... heading over to the TN thread rjohns posted is a good start, and letting us know what area of TN you are in would help too... I used to have Lavender Orps, but sold them a while back, too many breeds... if you're close to Eastern/Northeast TN, might check in with @TN Momma Bear
