Tennessee?

It is on the first Monday of each month. It starts at O-Dark-30. I was told to get there with flashlights and find a spot. Otherwise, I might end up on the street. It's $6 to sell and $12 if you take a trailer. The sale for example was this past Monday. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Might be interesting to check out to see what is selling.

Where are you getting them from?
Any breeds in particular?

I'll be hatching some Blue Orpingtons & some Blue & Black Ameracauna's late March. I know I won't be able to keep many of them...

Sorry I did not catch all of this. Right now I am looking at american heritage breeds. I have a few I am interested in and have settled mostly for partridge rocks.

Are your Ameracauna's pure bred? Not the EE. If so I would be interested in some as I am looking into breeding to standard.

They're from Dipsy Doodle Doo, and hers are true, not EE's.

I went there last saturday and there was @ 25 people there. I sold or traded just about all my extras. And came home with some OEG Duckwings, BB Reds, Spangled, a Porcelain and some Black Rosecomb.

Cool! So it's still where the petshop used to be?
What time did people get there?

I am not sure about the pet shop. From the interstate, I take the exit and head towards the Lost Sea. It is a few miles futher on the left next to a feed store. It is just a covered area in the middle of a lot.

I got there @ 7 and it was busy.

Thanks Crystal I was going to put the link up myself as I have gotten a few request to where to get it. All three of the groups are in the tech area on yahoo groups. If you join one you can find the others in there link section on the group.

Wegotchickens I shall keep you in mind. Not sure I want to get more than one breed right off the bat to start.

Hubby suprised me last night with talking about build our chicken coop. Since we have a new place that we built we have to build the coop also. I know the area where I want it and size is going to be 8x8 but I might have him make it bigger.

I have been doing a bit of reading and thinking towards what I might want to do futher down the road. Since breeding is something I am planning I think coop might be changed to suit those plans. Space is not a problem so this might be a ongoing project as time and money allow.

I hope everyone is doing OK with these drastic weather changes. We went from the 20's and 30's to 70's and back down again. Poor plants and animals are all confused.

BTW we had a small flock of robins show up at our feeder this past week.

That would be cool! I'd love to get together and compare notes with local BYC folks! Have only met KingsCalls in person (Jeff) so far...
We have a pretty small backyard flock, but I'll be increasing it a little in a week or so.

Does anyone know of any local sales happening this weekend? It may be my last 'free' weekend before soccer season starts!

Hello,
I live in Robertson county in between Springfield and White House. I used to raise chickens, and am now getting back into it (My chicken yard is next to my dog pen, and my weimy loves chickens, so I had to design a system that the chickens wouldn't fly into the dogs pen.)

I am currently brooding 55 chicks, and 4 ducklings

About 2/3's of the chicks are Rhode Island Reds for Eggs, and the rest are Cornish X Rocks from McMurray for meat.

I will be getting in around 30 turkey poults late April for meat as well.

I have a 3 tier brooder system from CQF (1 brooder and 2 grow out boxes) that works beautifully, and will probably be getting an incubator from them for chicks and quail.

Let me know if your around me, love to make some feathered friends
