Teriyaki

Today is a sad day. Our 7 day old teriyaki has passed. I didn't even know she was ill or I would have tried helping her. I woke up and she had passed. It wasn't from other chicks, she didn't have blood from pecking or anything. RIP baby girl.

Do you think tractor supply will replace her or let us buy just one? It's only been 4 days :/

When I was at my local TS store yesterday I overheard them saying no replacements & minimum 6 chick purchase. Then again that could be my local policy as well. Never hurts to ask.

Maybe if you tell them you have chicks at home? TS won't let you buy just one, you have to buy a minimum of six normally.

I think they should replace her considering they most likely sold me a sick chicken. We kept her body just invade they would need it. But of not found two people selling chicks. One person has golden sex links and another has white leg horns.

We didn't feed them medicated chick food...is this the cause of her sudden death? I feel so clueless and want to give the others a fighting chance. I know I only had her a few days but I cried. I just had her out lastnight before bed and she was acting normal

It's understandable. You are caring for a young animal. That tugs on the heart strings. I can't say about the feed. I'm pretty new to this & have only been using medicated. I hope they do replace her. I decided to try a more reputable hatchery next batch of chicks because they usually replace the ones that pass like that. I agree that they should replace her. I've had mine a week & would be very upset if one passed away.

yeah, I think its the unkown that's the worse. I just had her out lastnight and she seemed fine and healthy, fixed her pasty butt yesterday and everything so maybe she was blocked up and I didnt know it.
